Oh life. It's pretty amazing. Definitely not perfect but amazing nonetheless.
I’m forever amazed by what happens when you keep pressing on toward your dreams. Big things. I’ll tell ya what friend, really big things. They take time, yes. They’re not always very clear, of course. Rarely easy. But it happens. Woof.
And it’s fun to see how those dreams change, morph, shift. What I wanted a year ago is certainly not what I want today and that’s a good thing, I think.
I’ve got a lot on my mind for work. Sooooooo many ideas floating around in this brain of mine that never seems to stop. I think it has something to do with the new season, that change always seems to motivate me, to bring new ideas. I've also started to meet other entrepreneurs in the community. Oh how the ideas roll when THAT happens. Annnd I recently listened to a podcast that really, really got me pumped up. Good things are a comin'.

I was talking to a classroom full of 5th graders. My neighbor had asked if I would come into her classroom and talk to her students about writing and being a blogger. “Heck yeah!" If you know me, you know I love to talk, especially about things that excite me. And let me tell ya, my friend, blogging excites me.
It was fun to break down what I do at a 5th-grade level. “You can write about annnyytthhinnggg you want,” I told them “and the best part is, you never know who might need to hear it.”
A quote hung on her back wall that caught my attention, it’s by Benjamin Franklin “Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.”
Wow wow wow. That right there is how I’d like to live my life. And for me, it’s not the big and the crazy and quitting my job to travel the world that’s worth writing about, it’s the simple things. The everyday things. The things that mean a little more because I’ve slowed down enough to see them. The having coffee with Scott on our dock in the morning. Those are the things I want my life to be about.
Videos are happening people! Oh, I want to shout that from the rooftops. VIDEOS. ARE. HAPPENING. It’s not very interesting on its own but if you've been here for a minute and know the background and the tears and the frustrations, you’d know it's big.
We’ve consistently released new videos for the past 7 weeks. WHAT!? I didn’t actually know that number, I just had to go look it up. Dang. Now I’m even more impressed. I mean I'm all about being humble here but I think we need to cheer for ourselves more and this is one of those times. I even wrote a blog post about that.
This might not mean much to you but for me, for us, it’s a long time coming. I know I’ll look back on this blog post someday and remember the feeling of actually DOING that thing I’ve always wanted to do. I talk about it often, but it’s difficult. The doing thing. Especially when you want it to be just right. Well, we’re doing it. Videos are happening.

Scott did a 6-day bike packing bicycle trip out in Oregon with 4 other guys. It was along the Oregon Outback. It was going to be pretty darn intense from the get-go but it was even bigger than they could have planned for. I won’t go into detail because that’s his story to tell but gee-dang I am proud of him. I feel it in my heart. It also confirms what I found out on day 7 of knowing him, that he for sure is the person I'd want with me if I ever got stranded on an island. I swear he can figure anything out. I just really love that guy and even more so that I get to call him my husband.

It’s officially fall. At least that’s what the calendar says but if you look outside, the trees aren’t sure what season it is. Some spots are the vibrant red we all ohhh and ahhh over and some spots are greener than they were this summer.
There is something special about the changing of seasons. A reminder that life continues to change and grow and adapt and we should too. That it’s never the end-all. That seasons don’t last a lifetime. I wrote this blog post on the changing of the season a while back and for me, it still rings true today.

I’m reading this book. “You are a Badass at Making Money: Master the Mindset of Wealth” Oof. I really like it. You can find it here.
At first I thought it was kind of "woo woo" and wondering where it was going but it’s opened so many other doors. Mostly, it’s made me aware of having an abundant mindset instead of a lacking one.
I've started to look at things differently. As abundance instead of lacking. For example, when I go to type a new blog post, sometimes it can be overwhelming. Instead of sitting in front of a blank page stuck, trying to come up with something worth writing about, now I sit down looking at it as an OPPORTUNITY to get to share something great with others.
Oh, I could go on about this, I probably will in a future blog post. Mindset matters. So do words. So does saying thank you.
That's all for now. Thanks for being here, always. It means more than you'll ever know. Steph
